Public Policy

The Sarasota Association of Realtors® will generally support legislative initiatives of the Florida Association of Realtors® and the National Association of Realtors®, and keeps our members informed of the issues pending before the Legislature through our Governmental Affairs Director. We encourage our members to become active participants in the Realtor® Day program in Tallahassee. We also encourage our members to respond to calls to action and to participate in other ways that will help carry the Realtor® message to our Senators and Congressmen in Washington, D.C.

SAR Supports Extension of School Millage Tax SAR has endorsed and supports the extension of the current School Millage Tax, slated for the March 16, 2010 election.

Voter Registration Encouraged SAR encourages all members residing in Sarasota County to become registered voters.
