About SAR

Since 1923, SAR has provided members with the resources they need to enhance professionalism and ensure their continued growth and success to better serve those they represent, the consumer.

SAR started off relatively small, but has grown to a medium-sized real estate association with a total membership of more than 3,100 Realtors® and Affiliates. The Sarasota MLS was formed in 1957 and has progressed to being a critical tool used by members to better serve their customers and clients. With the advance of technology, members now routinely utilize the Internet to market their properties, work with clients, and more effectively manage their real estate business.
As members of an organized real estate association, REALTORS® subscribe to a strict code of ethics and have access to numerous services and programs to enhance their professionalism. Educational programs and seminars help members gain new skills and professional designations. Regular meetings provide opportunities for networking and making a difference in the world of real estate.
